Whew! It has definitely been a crazy busy week here in the Marshall household. Jason and I had a great time on our trip to Dallas/Fort Worth here is a taste of what we did…

We went to the Dallas Arboretum and got to see a brilliant display of God’s architecture accented by Chihuly glass.
…but more on that tomorrow. Today is a recap of our Fourth of July celebrations. Jason and my mother had the holiday off so we all slept in and came together in the afternoon to cook up a storm for the family.

Kiki was so proud of her American flag fruit pizza. Don’t worry it was just as delicious as it looks.
Mom slaved away cooking a new Pinterest recipe for Macaroni & cheese, her famous baked beans, sourcream and dill cucumbers with onions, Tastefully Simple beer bread, and this awesome flag fruit pizza. Yummy!
Poor David. He spent a lot of HOT hours at the smoker so we could eat ribs (beef and pork), steak, weenies, and beer butt chicken. It was all very delicious.

Jase called sparklers “sprinkles” He LOVED getting to hold them. I think we have a little pyro on our hands.
From the Marshall family to yours, we hope you had a safe and happy Fourth of July. We are so blessed to live in America and enjoy the freedoms we have been blessed with. Thank you to our armed forces for fighting to protect those freedoms. Come back tomorrow for a recap of our DFW trip day 1.
It was a great day with family! Great photos and post!
