Goals 4/16-4/22

Standard

It’s that time again folks! Monday means a time to look back on the goals I set and see how I did.

Drink over 100 oz. of water daily. Fail While I did do a much better job of getting my daily recommendation of H2O in this week I slacked off on my water drinking this weekend. I have been really sick all week, and it has been easy to keep my big 32 oz Weight Watcher mug full on my desk at school, but when I come home I have had a really sore throat and the carbonation from Coke Zero has made it feel so much better. I will continue to work on this goal.

Get 4 1 hour workouts in this week. FailI have been sick all week with a sinus infection and the antibiotics have made my tummy not quite like itself. On Tuesday I walked for 75 minutes and burned 580 calories. Saturday I spent 2 hours on my hands and knees vacuuming up a massive amount of dog hair, that burned 839 calories. Yesterday was such a beautiful day that Jason and I decided to go try a quick game of tennis at the USAO courts. That burned 489 calories. Totals: 225 minutes and 1,908 calories, so close but 1 workout short.

Track all of my food 6/7 days this week. Success!!! I tracked all 7 days this week. I am loving using the myfitnesspal app to track all of my calories and exercise. I haven’t had any trouble finding foods and I haven’t had to create a new food yet. My favorite part is when you finish your day and submit it you get a pop up saying if every day were like today you will weigh__ in 5 weeks. It really helps to keep the big picture in perspective, and you get to see what you are working towards.

So, new goals for this week:

Drink 100oz of water daily. Since I had trouble getting my water in on the weekend I think I should keep this as a goal until I can get it down pat.

Get 500 fitness minutes. Instead of naming a specific number of workouts I have decided to declare a number of minutes. This will make it easier for me to break up my workouts in to chunks if need be. Maybe I can walk 15 minutes at lunch. Maybe I can walk an hour after school. Maybe I can ride the stationary bike after dinner. I think this will help me.

Complete 2 more layouts for submission. This weekend I finally made myself complete a layout and submit it to a magazine for publication. I am extremely nervous and excited. I can’t wait to see if I will be getting any “happy mail” announcing my first publication! I am proud of myself for finally getting up the nerve to submit, and I love the creative juices that were flowing while I was working on it. I will post pictures as soon as I know if I have been published or not.

  1. Great idea to post your week’s goals on your blog! I keep track of my goals in my calendar, but sometimes it’s hard to keep them when you know that you’re the only one checking them.

    • Thank you! I need to start that up again…I have slacked severely since summer has started, but I do believe it is time to get back on the wagon 🙂 thanks for stopping by, check back soon for more updates!
